When I first went on this website i was surprised that there is an audio recording that automatically plays on arrival. Chris Watson is one of the world's leading recorders of wildlife and natural phenomena, so is a perfect person to research to help us with our Sense of Space project 'A day in the life'
The sounds which play when on the website our different kind of birds etc, this is what Robbie and I are planning to capture in the morning which will be the start of the project.

This link shows some of Watson's work which is on the BBC and gives examples of nature sounds and science. He explains why to record nature sounds, he states that 'your ears are an extremely important part of the equipment needed'
I know this video is a rainforest but listening to it and listening to all the different types of sounds makes me aware that they all are crucial to make everything sound natural and make the audience believe what they are hearing.
This video is more like the type of thing we would like to achieve with all the bird noises in the background, even though it wont be just about the forest itself but about a tree, The main ambient sound in the video is the water, the video gives a great impression of a forest.
These five pictures show the woods we will be using which is named 'Ecclesall Woods' which is around 350 acres. We hope that the sawmill is running because the end of our project we would like to use the sound to create a dramatic ending.
