Skin Deep

Skin Deep was a great short Drama in my opinion. The cinematography was next to perfect and i understood every shot. The main character does not like his religion which is indian or 'paki' as he relates too. The short film goes about how he tries to dodge the fact that he himself is an indian from his fathers side. The area he is living in is a very racist place and he is just trying to fit in as he got bullied as a child.

The part of the film that stood out to me is near the end when he starts cutting his hair and face, shouting at the mirror before hitting it to find his little sister watching him. This part stood out because its pretty graphic and the shot was clever when he had two white racists laughing in both his ears. I think the message of him not liking his race was put together well as i'm sure everyone would understand that.

A technique i found interesting is that when he was in places which are noisy it was in-fact quiet to create tension, this was mostly when people were starring at him, this brings me to the sound of the film, which i think was extremely important because the content of the film made the tension.

Overall i think it was a great short film and would defiantly recommend it for over people to watch.
